SEOUL (AFP) ??” Creditors were poised to stretch out a 1.7 billion dollar release package to pull South Korea's largest credit card firm LG Card back from the brink of bankruptcy.

Main creditor Woori Bank and seven other banks agreed overnight to the turn of events bailout for LG Card, the ailing subsidiary of southerly Korea's second largest conglomerate LG collection after it suspended loan operations.

"Eight major creditor banks will impart the two trillion won (17 billion dollars) to LG Card later today," to leeward Soon-Woo, a Woori Bank executive handling LG Card affairs, said.

Banks also agreed to rollover LG Card's offence payment for one year.

The bailout package was prepared after the credit card firm suspended its loan services from Saturday appropriate to liquidity problems.
