MADISON, Wisconsin (AFP) ??” US police indicated they believe a woman scholar whose disappearance sparked a major chase made up a story that she was abducted at knifepoint.

The suppos kidnapping of 20-year-old University of Wisconsin pupil Audrey Seiler last Saturday drew nationwide media coverage after other newly come disappearances.

She was erect on Wednesday in a marsh complete to her home, dehydrated and chilly but otherwise unharmed.
