The country's solely loss-making auto firm has struggl to revive its fortunes in the wake of a vehicle lack cover-up scandal.
Mitsubishi's sales plummet 601 percent to 4711 vehicles from the same period a year earlier, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association (JADA) said.
"We have experienced a certain number of tough months, particularly for the past three month We are working hard to achieve annual sales of 220000 autos in the year to March 2005" said a Mitsubishi spokesman.
"We are preparing to launch recent vehicles this autumn. With that, we expectancy our sales (decline) will hit the bottom before long and recover in a scarcely any months," he said, adding the company was planning a series of campaigns
